THE HOTEL CAVALIER

This was perhaps the very first sketch I ever did for the earliest (2001) version of The Cavalier Mr. Thompson. The designs for the hotel were taken from stills of Max Cady's (Robert Mitchum) hotel in Cape Fear, 1962. It was to be a continuing story that would accompany shorter pieces (yes, like Eightball) in a crime-oriented anthology I was planning on doing back then for Alternative Comics called, Lowdown And Dirty...

A good sketch. I would like for it to be color rendered and be visualized with either 3D or cel shaded illustration. The interior concept reminds me of the 3 star london hotels that I happened to photograph.
